(Fabricated Design) Freelance Designs These are designs I'm working on in the studio. They are either new techniques I haven't worked with, or a project that is taking several techniques to be completed. If your interested in any of these items, please contact me for details. | Freelance Designs Info Tag # | | The design was cut from a copper sheet gauge 18. It was filed, sanded down, polished and then enameled in a klin up to 1500 degrees for the grains to fuse together. It measures about 4 inches long and 4 inches wide. | FL001 | | The garnet ring took several weeks to make. It consist of two sterling silver bands made seperately, keeping in mind the 2nd band has to have a diameter bigger then the first. Each ring was soldered seperately. Finally after 3 hours of hammering the 2nd ring to make it fit over the 1st ring..it suddenly got too big. Fixing the first ring to match the 2nd ring and it slipped over the 1st layer. | FL002 | | A random idea came to mind. It's a fabricated band ring that has been hammered repeatidly until the texture I wanted was completed. I decided to add a wire pattern design on top of the design. Which required melting the solder at the right spot to attach the wire pattern design on the ring. The wire pattern is fine silver and the ring itself is sterling silver, both heat up at different temptures. With success, the wire pattern design was soldered together. The ring measures 6 and 1/2 and is 2 mm wide. | FL003 |
